i'd like to say the goal of making four games in forty days is commendable! wow! it sounds pretty crazy, so good luck with that. i might check up on that blog of yours.
the game's alright. you wanted to create a game and give folks The Frogger Experience and... that's what it does! it's Frogger In Nature with newer vector graphics! you did more than fine in that regard.
it can be insanely easy though, if you just hop across before the animals even get on screen. then it's just a matter of getting across the lilypads.
i'll say though that it's not very accurate with the hitbox, although that's perhaps part of the frogger experience. i'd die even if there was some space between what i hit and me, although perhaps it's because the head and body can get past but not the... limb things, that i can understand.
i'm not sure how i feel about the music(what i could hear of it, my computer doesn't recognize my headphones whoops) and the font choice not fitting too well with the clean, new feel about the rest of the game. i like them, but... i dunno. mixed feelings i guess, but not necessarily a problem.
i will say though, i thought it'd be neat to see others' highscores too ingame instead of just my own. i don't think i can currently. unless that'd be too hard to implement. i'm a programmer, but i don't like working with scoring, sooo...
overall, it does what it is supposed to and it does it well enough. nothing special, of course, but i'm sure the other games will be nicer. you'll be making them different, as far as i can tell.
Thanks faii-g. I'm a programmer too and I'm not that great on my networking skills. I'm actually working on the next game.
About the hi score table. If I actually have time after the challenge, I might do an online hi score table.
Thanks for playing :)
Nice, I hope you succeed in making 4 games in 40 days.
The only thing I don't get is why you made Frogger instead of something original.
Which would make beating the challenge even more rewarding.
Thanks. I definitely will finish the challenge. The first game is just a start. I'm leveling up the difficulty of the next few games too having more challenge.
It's Frogger... without the cars... There's nothing I can say about this. It's a clone of an ancient game.
It was far too quiet. Though, the music leaves me curious. Why does it sound so damn familiar? I swear I've heard it before.
thanks :) . was it quiet? maybe because I tried it on with headphones and not without.
as for the music, it's credited to DST (Deceased Superior Technician). Can be found here: http://nosoapradio.us/
he gives out the music for free commercial and personal. maybe it sounds familiar because of it being an 8-bit music.
thanks for playing the game. :)
