Dear DreamProgrammerX

Why...???

Yours sincerely
The Game Infinirator

There's no instructions, the game does nothing to tell you where you should start from eventhough there's only one level where you can start from, and apparently the game play is "click random spots until you find the treasure."

Not even angering, just mind-numbingly dull.

Not very thought out at all. The fixed locations of treasures made them easy to find sometimes and removed any possible penalty from losing (because who cares about points?) The 'near treasure' spots barely count as hints and are also in fixed positions rather than giving legitimate clues.

And your music is in poor taste.

The music has nothing to do with dubstep, dear fail-g. It is still dumb, and has nothing to do with the graphic universe nor the very concept of the game.

And the game itself ? Dull. Just click until you find the goddamm treasure, and "near" has no meaning here. It's just, you know... somewhere. Within a N-pixel radius. No interest whatsoever, no intelligence needed, nothing "strategic" about this crap, and no application to "any problem in practical life", because real problems ask for logic, intelligence, morals, understanding. Not clicking f*cking everywhere until it's solved.

The art was fine, though.

so i'm going through the latest games as i have been doing for the past day or so, looking for something to review, and... what's this? fairly impressive preview art?! so i admit that awesome skull is what dragged me in

and then i read the description! i love maddening games, there's just a sort of sadistic charm and sense of accomplishment to them, and i suppose that is what started the flappy bird craze

the game, though...

let's start with the music. it's dubstep/electro, i believe, i've never been good at naming genres. i have nothing against this genre as some of my absolute favorite songs fall into that.

but it does not put me in the mood to hunt for treasure on an ancient looking map. the map itself? very well done, if the names are pretty cliche'! but the music does not put me in the mood at all.

see, from the description, i assumed from the last line there would actually be a problem and a hint at the solution. there is, but not after several seconds and moves have been used up.

nothing motivates you to keep playing the game! WHY ARE WE LOOKING FOR TREASURES WHEN WE COULD STAY HOME AND EAT A GOOD MEAL
common example, flappy bird, you wanted to keep going because you wanted a good score! it punished you for not going through the spaces by restarting the game! why can't this game do that if you can't find something in a limited amount of moves?

there is absolutely nothing practical about this game, and there's nothing remotely problem solve-y. i get that it's meant to anger, sure, that's fine, but it doesn't seem worth it to click so much for a cackle and some text written by someone that doesn't know what 'pirate' means.

this game has a lot going for it! it has great design and all that! i love games that make me angry! it could be so good if there was just some sort of punishment system and something to aid the treasure-hunty bit other than the monochrome holes in the map!

bastendorf puts most of my points in a shorter, neat review, however, so kudos to him.
