A kid wakes up.

Learning about comp and sound editing. Characters were inconsistently animated because I was literally winging this whole project. no pre-planning no character designs ... etc.

Great job for a learning project. I don't think i could have done it as good even if I tried.

Albinorice responds:

Thanks man! It's all about having a story that you want to tell.

I agree with what the other commenters have said. I also liked the bacon and eggs.

Albinorice responds:

Haha, bacon an' eggs in the nice cold outdoors.

I thought this was beautiful. It also had one great detail that a lot of stories don't nowadays. Dad was still there. Great to see.

Albinorice responds:

Thanks! Yeah, not quite the tortured Bruce Wayne, heh.

Wow! This animation was superb! It had a powerful message and was delivered in such a unique way. It makes me want to know more about these characters and what goes on in their lives. The title is very well suited and when the mother appears it felt as though the atmosphere of the morning had become warm.

As for the animation, it was excellent. It was smooth and flowed very well with the sounds. Speaking of which, they were crystal clear (as well as the imagery, lol). There's not a whole lot more that I could say about this piece except that I wish there was more, but what you had here was absolutely great! I hope to see more from you in the portal soon!

Albinorice responds:

Thanks! Yes, I was definitely trying to put these contrasting emotions like warm and cold together to show change in character.

Pretty well done short.
The drawings weren't bad, like you said, a bit inconsistent. But you got the points across and told a nice little story in a short amount of time.
Well done!

Albinorice responds:

Thanks! I was experimenting with wordless storytelling and finding new ways of presenting this story!
