You are a simple, citizen-class robot who has been abducted by Dr. Nemesis and forced through his weapons-testing facility. The good news is that he has replicated you, so with each horrid death comes a renewed hope of escape.

Pass all 21 of his "anti-hero" rooms in this puzzle-platformer, and he will allow you to escape. But can you acquire the five keys that give you access to Dr. Nemesis himself, so you can exact your revenge?

This is my first non "jam" game, and it was a blast to make. I hope it's fun/difficult enough for you all! Just let me know if you have any questions or comments. There's a walkthrough on Youtube if you get stuck. Just search "disposabot walkthrough."

Maybe it should have been a little more obvious how to get to the key levels. Ok, they're in the level select screen, but that way I could play through all the game in one go and never see them. The average gamer will see the ending screen in which he goes away and right away close the window, forgetting all about key levels, since they were mentioned kind of en-passant in the playthrough.
That's a shame, cause they really make your creativity shine.

If I were to suggest a way, just state it clearly when you unlock a key level, and where to find it. Something like, "YOU HAVE UNLOCKED A KEY LEVEL! Go to the level select screen to play it.

Would that be ok?

Apart from that, nothing too new. I'm kind of getting tired of these puzzle games, and it's not the first that uses this "you use your dead bodies to escape" gimmick. Plus points for game quotes in the evil mastermind speeches, but it could have been improved even there. Of course, there's always room for improvement, so no real detraction there.

The graphics do not shine either, but aren't really that bad, so i'll give you medium score for that point.

I played it without music, so can't really express myself on that.

Maybe collecting all the keys should award a bit more satisfying ending? This way, it doesn't seem like it's a worthy reward... although the key levels are very entertaining, so they're basically a reward for themselves.

In regards to enigmi difficulty, not bad. Quite challenging, some of them were. Key levels also can be resolved in a wide variety of ways, some even more efficient than the intended way. That counts as a plus.

Dead body mechanic is implemented in a quite interesting way - you do not always die on the spot, but sometimes die after getting thrown in the sky, sometimes, after a bit of time after touching the mines. Sometimes your body can be moved, and is subject to gravity, sometimes not. That makes for interesting enigmi and can provide challenging resource-management conundrums.

So, in regards to dead body mechanic implementation, I'll give you a plus. It doesn't get the plus for mechanic originality, though, as I stated above.

In the end, you'll get a three for the scoring system, and a four in the review. Those, as i see it, represent different things - one accounts for originality and amusement factor, the other even for technic aspects and the effort you spent into making the game, without forgetting the communication of the author with us here in the reviews section.

All in all, not bad, just improve in the areas i pointed out and you could get something better than a little time waster: a full fledged game you could even upload in some gaming platform (steam?)

If you are correcting me, then you have missed it. ;)

It's not a good puzzle game if it's very dependent on timing. Level 13.

YOU'RE dependent on timing.
