Think of Dance Dance Revolution and Free Running. Combine them, and you get something like Runaway From Hounds.

Runaway From Hounds is one of those games that are initially fun to play, but loses that important factor as you do so. Why? Because after a while, you'll realize that it's a fairly repetitive game.

So you start off with a dog chasing you, then you dodge obstacles, twirl in the air, break your back, and dodge obstacles again. That's the gist of the game; a loop, kind of like the music.

To explain the gameplay, this game is a mix of DDR and Free Running. The objective here is to dodge the obstacles coming your way, kind of like Free Running. But instead of focusing on the obstacles, you need to be focusing on the arrows. So the gameplay isn't much like Free Running but rather like DDR, but instead of four slots for your arrows, you only get one. More slots would have been nice, so you can have a greater challenge. Or the arrows could have came at a surprise,so you can test your reflexes. Even though it's a mix of both games, you only get a few things out of each of them.

It's easy to tell there was a lot of effort in visually enhancing this game, and that effort has paid off. This game looks good to the eye, and I acknowledge that the creator has done a good job with that. However, we have to remember the saying "graphics aren't everything."

Sound is a big issue I have with this game. As you start the game, you will hear that flaky upbeat music playing along with the sound effects. It sounds okay, until you realize it loops every ten seconds. I have no problem with looping music, but it has to be done right and more than just ten seconds long.

The redeeming factor of this game is the control. I have to be honest, the controls in this game are probably better than most DDR related games on this website. No delay, just instant response. The controls are indeed excellent.

It's not a bad game, but there could be some changes to make it better.

Great game! The whole concept and storyline is quite interesting.
Simple yet fun. The action becomes fast-paced gradually as the game progresses.
Needs some medals, upgrades and some unlockable items.
Keep up the good work!
