I really like the concept and the retro art itself, it would be nice if you add more elements, this game is on the right path.

A very basic game. It needs better graphics, more content and polish.
Could be better. Could be bigger and have more things
I am flabbergasted that people are asking for a tutorial. It's a one button game, have some curiosity.
I am enjoying this a lot, especially so once I come back, after using a revive potion, and have to avoid enemies until I get rearmed.
As others have said, more questions than answers. Are there weapons besides the fire staff and dagger? Why rescue people? What if I'm not interested in a competitive leaderboard?
As I found no point to go further it seemed time to stop. This sort of reminds me of One Way Dungeon, a platformer with constant motion, but that at least nailed what it was doing with its limited scope. Touch Dungeon is kind of dull and unclear of motivation.
