I just now saw this and can definitely see you have made improvements. Hope you will take this and run a bit more. Hope you learn more and do more, dude. Keep trying.

cocolongo responds:

Thank you for the compliments . and the encouragements!

No "time to die" scene 0/5
But seriously, it's not the best way to make a tribute to a movie. The animation is clunky and really awkward, and doesn't match the audio (which you obviously ripped from the original).
If you want to make an animation, put some effort into it. Ask some friends if they would fancy taking part in the voice acting. Write an own script - don't copy the original frame by frame; if it's supposed to be a tribute, consider a different take on the subject - perhaps follow a story of a lone replicant trying to survive in the city? There's no point in remaking the original, considering that your version will be worse anyway. Thnk about it; have you ever seen, let's say, a LOTR remake, copying everything, including camera angle, on Newgrounds? Me neither.
Considering it's your first animation here, I'll give you a star for the effort. But try to improve your craft.

cocolongo responds:

I appreciate the time in watching my second animation ever.. however I try to listen to myself in making my own stuff my own way. ( every one has the right to do so) now, coming from your expert point of view and maker of I don´t know how many movies ( not that I care either) ...well ..see? if you think hard to make any of those remakes as you call them it is really hard, specially if you haven´t seen anything like it before . thank you for the star.

I've been a die hard fan of the movie ever since I saw it in theaters on opening day. The scrolling intro you got spot on and the gradual gradation dissolve into the flying scene worked, but then it began to degrade gradually. I found that the images were falling out of sync with what you had audibly. The animation was rather rough and made it feel like a film strip of the movie. This by no means means that it is bad, just very difficult to immerse yourself. Especially with a movie so iconic like Ridley Scott's.

I understand that animation is a very arduous process, hours upon hours of lining up shots and syncing properly with audio isn't something to be taken lightly. You can tell by the work you've done so far is truly a labor of love and dedicated tribute to his timeless classic. Keep working at it. I look forward to seeing more of your fan-made tribute to this wonderful film.

cocolongo responds:

thank you . I ´ll get better at it for sure, it is my second animation.. I am learning more everyday

It's fine. nothing to shit on like some of these people. Love that song too from the original soundtrack. That whole sound track is worth getting IMHO.

cocolongo responds:

thank you man! I wanted to be as close as posible.. I am going to do some more on it.. like a series or so. I hope you like it too.

I'm a big Blade runner fan, it is probably one of my favorite movies. Although I have to say, the graphics in this flash made it hard to watch, being that they are mostly traced bitmaps of photographs. I encourage you to to try an make your own graphics, which would ultimately give you more freedom in achieving things like lip sync, which were held back by the use of traced bitmaps. For some things, it worked well, like the eye which had all kinds of detail. Although this doesn't exactly work for things such as the city or faces which look blob like.

Hope you'll continue to improve,

Esty

cocolongo responds:

thank you... I traced some. mostly after I found out how.. now I ´m learning to make them from scratch .. I hope you like them too.
