way to easy, and boring,, i love some old school games but not this

Nice that there is a Flash HQ up and running

the speed, sound, and satire is all there for this simple game

the amount of lanes , "homing" oncoming traffic, and having the crim ease thru said traffic hurts an otherwise nice lil' homage

Its always a fender bender that takes the fun out.

Someone recognised the base game! I'm happy... ;-)

Thanks for reviewing.

the controlls in this game are terrible

arryscoopus responds:

*** EDIT: Cursor keys now activated in addition to original controls ***
Granted the controls are not where I originally wanted them to be. Cursor keys would have been far better, alas I had some issues with key detection that I simply couldn't resolve, so I went with an old favourite combo from years gone by. I guess that even waaaay back in the days of 8 bit computers I must have been one of the few to use the controls I've used in this game. I * will * endeavour to sort this and get the cursor keys working as they should.... thanks for taking time to post.

That was fun, very 80's style. Just as good as my Atari was. And to think we used to pay $60 to buy games like that. Lucky kids today get it for free! The 2 speed shifter seemed dumb at first but then it became part of the challenge. Also, the trees were flickering but that's bc you're driving so FAST! The dialogue was hilarious and the gameplay top notch. Even a high-score chart. A perfect revival!

Thanks for the comments. I'm glad the 80's style was not lost on you, as that's exactly what I was aiming for. The 2 speed shifter was an after add, for sure. I just felt like it needed "something else" in the gameplay and I seemed to recall a few of the arcade cabinets having a high/low stick shift back in the day! Once again, thanks for taking the time to post.

This was alright. Your music and graphics were decent and the plot was good. My only complaint is the controls. Would be a lot better if instead of O and P as you steering that you use the arrow keys. Other than that, it was ok.

arryscoopus responds:

The controls thing is something one or two people mentioned during testing, but I had a real issue with the cursor keys being held down and other key presses not being recognised :-/ I just couldn't solve it, hence went with my old favoured Amstrad CPC464 key combination.
Perhaps I'll look into getting those darned cursor keys working as well as the current config.

Thanks for taking time to write :-)
