This has a lot of promise! Metroidvania-style games are my favorite genre, and there's some fun to be had in this. I hope you keep working on it and expand on it and such. It could really use a higher resolution and some different music tracks (although maybe there's more later on, I haven't got very far yet).

Stranded on a ship headed into deep space, a young boy finds himself on a distant world...

Just wanted to put this up since I put a lot of work into this. Sadly I can't work on the game anymore, though I do hope to come back to it some day. Let me know what you think! Takes ~ 30 mins or so to get through if you're quick. Plays better with a controller. Use Xpadder or something of the like to get this working.
I would not be surprised if there were tons of bugs still in this. Let me know if you find any game breaking ones ; )

Good game. This has a lot of potential. I would recommend having level restarts when a character dies instead of the redirecting the user to the main menu if they didn't save.
My save has been deleted in the "suicide way"... Justly when i tried to save.
I find that bees make you too much damages, getting more life is just useless because they 4 shoot you as blobs did.
Sometimes the music stop after some minutes in the same area.
Nevertheless, it's a good and attractive game, if my save didn't had any bug I would have beaten the game; work more on the map of the village and in the house for the scooter (make a better way to reach it) and it will be really great.
It made me think too terraria when I saw some castle blocks ^^.
