'The Fish Tower'

This is my second animation for the NATA 2013 (Novice round!).
The challenge this time was to pick one (or more) from the four songs offered at the thread of the round and make an animation expressing the mood of the track.
I chose the track 'Waiting', which I found really good at building a tense atmosphere, so I had to make a "second part" working with additional tracks to continue from that point.
I think this one ended up being a lot more elaborated than my submission for the open round, at least on its level of animation- detail. (and for good reason, it took at least twice as much time!)
With that said, enjoy the micro-film!

Your animation style is incredibly unique, and, of course, adorable. I especially loved your backgrounds; each and every one of them was beautiful, despite the fact that they usually fall by the wayside in independently produced films. The monster, too, was amazing and meticulously crafted. I loved it! Keep up the good work.
