The second redesign of the survival mode of The Floorsland series! Avoid the spikes that will endlesslly fall from the ceiling, try out different game modes, get medals, brag in the high scores, customise the backgrounds, change the ground colour and much more!

Update (18th May 2013): The spikes now have a 40% chance to just go on top of the player and not in a random position each time they fall. You will not notice this easily if you are playing fairly, but you will notice it quickly if you go standing on the left/right of the screen and gaining score. Update 2 on the same day: fixed spikes being at the same height in all game modes.

For some reason the rectangle is "magnetized" toward the falling spikes if they are close enough. Movement currently is limited and the falling spikes appear a little jerky.

The main menu and the game graphics could definitely use a bit of polish, and the game itself could use goals, benchmarks, and powerups.

Perhaps, instead of having in-game powerups, after every trial the player would be able to "purchase" powerups?

Very lacking game, but executes well for what little it has.

Haha, I loved the music.

I think the physics in this game should be improved, have a little more realism. The block could wiggle a little, he could be made out of jelly! The spikes could be improved, i think they should vary in appearance as it can get a little boring.
As another reviewer said, it could be much better with an actual goal, or a secondary goal, such as collecting powerups.
Quite nice, but needs improvement.

The block (his name is Tim, this is a mini Floorsland game) could really wiggle and that won't be hard. The spikes having random appearances will be easy as well. I really did think of implementing powerups, but there is one problem. This is a quote from one of my previous responses. "I was indeed thinking of powerups (short invincibility, score up, slower spikes, etc.), but I could not think of a way to implement them without making the game sort of... spam them." When I find a way I will implement them immediately.

Simple, but fun. This game is quite lacking but is also fun. It would be better with goals, platforms to jump on, and power ups. This game, if fixed could get popular on Newgrounds and I hope it does.

Thanks for the feedback! I was indeed thinking of powerups (short invincibility, score up, slower spikes, etc.), but I could not think of a way to implement them without making the game sort of... spam them. As for goals and platforms, this game is intended to test your skills. Adding platforms and/or a jumping ability would sort of break that thing. I am thinking of an option to change the ground level, though.

(isn't it funny that of all the current reviews this is the only one that gives constructive criticisim?)

good music love it, game needs more work than just being a little block.
