iT has potential. Just that there is no way to restart if you get stuck. I believe the gray wall is too high to jump over.

Cool first game, I'd love to see what you can do with a lot of practice.

not great- the hit detection was terrible (the spinning spiky things damaged me even though i was nowhere near them), the level design was atrocious (seriously, trapping someone because they didn't take the rout where they can't help but lose half their health?), there was no invulnerability time after i got hit, i felt no incentive to keep playing, the music was dull and repetitive- there is plenty of great music in the audio portal that is made specifically for flash submissions so next time use some of that. you get an A for effort, but an F- for execution

Quite good for a first attempt, well done!
Just little bugs I found - the gold pyramid bait you placed worked nicely for the first time, but (after death) when I chose to go right instead, I got stuck because I didn't pull the level. Either make a signpost, add a restart button... or stairs. ;) Then, the upper part of the ball doesn't bounce off a tile and it would be more user-friendly if we could press spacebar or so to restart the game.

Now, normally I wouldn't have given something like this a passing or remotely decent score so I figured I would explain why I did. Even though there are a ton of people submitting their "first games" with a similar look and feel this particular first game has something a lot of them are lacking. Forethought. The person who made this game actually thought about the game dynamics prior to making the game. In spite of what issues the game may have the player has to think to pass the game, and the game has challenges beyond the challenges of a poorly made game. I appreciate and respect that the author thought when putting together this game.

That is not to say that the game isn't without it's flaws:

1) Hit boxes are too big (i.e. you die when you aren't touching anything deadly (esp. spears).
2) The character slides around a bit much (you know like he is walking on ice).
3) It is possible to get trapped behind the first door and there is no reset option in the game (or commit suicide).
4) The death screen is poorly made and mocking. If you are going to have the death screen mock a person you should make it look sharper. If you are going to have it all colorful and childlike it should be more friendly.

If this is your very first game (and I do believe that it is), I really don't want to discourage you. Yes, it needs work and polishing but the important part is that you thought about how the game would work and what makes a game fun. I hope you keep trying and work to get better. So I gave this a passing vote of 3/5 and 2.5/5 stars. Keep trying you will get there.
