It's time to relive the past in this special 14th anniversary edition of Pico's School! Complety remade from the ground up with new graphics, new music but the same good ol' gameplay!

A group of Goth kids are turning a normal school day into a massacre. Save the day and free the school once again!

Art & Programming: Kenney Vleugels (Kenney)
Music: Zach Striefel (ZStriefel)
Original idea: Tom Fulp (TomFulp)

A step too far, and then 100 miles further. This is the only game I've found offensive, ever. The subject matter I can handle, and I've played games far more violent and graphic, but I've never seen such a thing handled in such a crass manner. Play if you find school massacres funny.

Under normal circumstances a game would have to be seriously broken to get 1 star or less, but the problem here is the total disregard for the subject matter it is dealing with. It's a pity, because when you see the massacre kick off (and the short lead-up to it), from there it could have been the start of a good game. However, then you see bodies around you in silly poses with heads ripped off, and a telekinetic goth. It was around then that I lost the last bit of respect I had for this game.

No subject matter should be considered out of bounds, but the execution here couldn't be much more inappropriate. I can imagine a few ways, but even if the game had you controlling the person doing the massacring, it would depend on how this is approached. It could be done in a mature way, or with a similar slasher comedy approach to this game. One has the potential to be a dark disturbing psychological journey, and the other something best forgotten, or never encountered. Technically speaking this game is passable, but I wish the effort could have been spent to make a different game.

That's my opinion, I'm not saying it to offend, but I'm not sugar-coating it either. People can create games like this, and if it appeals to some then that would make it worthwhile, but I can't help but say I lose respect for someone who plays this game and likes it.

Kenney responds:

Offense is taken, not given.

I ♥ this game!

This is just a reskin of a game I don't like.
The original game was not outstanding to me at all, and this isn't better just because everything looks like plastic.

The plot was stupid, the characters are beyond forgettable, the game leaves no impact or sense of accomplishment upon winning.

Why is Pico day so special anyways?

Kenney responds:

Is there anything you like besides hentai?

This game is absolutely offensive against goth people. This is just a freaking stereotype. Stopped playing the game after I saw the goth dude pop up rambling about bs. We all know the cause for school shootings is being bullied and mental illness. Not no darn sub-culture.

Kenney responds:

this is a tasteless update. the fun is gone and the game is a lot harder. also, another school massacre happened today. i hope you can sleep well knowing you uploaded this trash.
