It may look cool that it has all those features and everything, but what it really means is that, in order for your character to be competitive in PvP, you need to spend money in A LOT of things in order to get good stats for your character.
Believe me when I say the difference between cash and noncash is abysmal. Even the cosmetic equipment give stats that can screw you over.

Ok, So i have played this game for about a month now. Full disclosure, this is the FIRST MMO i have ever played, so I have nothing else to really compare it to so I am just going to judge it based on its own merits. First, I will evaluate the author comments.

"Featuring four unique classes" - The only classes available are Knights, Mages, and Archers available in both genders but their isn't anything other than a cosmetic difference. All classes do what you expect but all play very similar due to all three classes having multi-target attacks. So, just pick which class appeals to your aesthetic tastes.

"single and multiplayer dungeons" - True, but the dungeons are very short and the MP dungeons require little to no teamwork or communication whatsoever.

"PvP arenas" - The one on one arena is fine, you pick your opponents and have control over the difficulty of your opponents. Where the PvP gets wildly out of control is in the multiplayer arena consisting of 3 V 3 battles against other players. The people who developed Wartune claimed that the matching system is based on some formula to ensure fairness, but in practice this is totally untrue. I can't tell you how many times I have spent battle after battle facing the same group of over powered opponents over and over again. The system simply isn't fair unless you have invested a whole lot of time into the game, even then I still found fair match-ups hard to find.

"Competitive Battlegrounds" - Even worse than the PvP Arenas is the Battleground. Overpowered players camping out and slaughtering the lower level players is the name of the game here. The first time I played the battleground segment, I nearly quit the whole game out of frustration. The game is supposed to work by two teams of 15 collecting crystals from a central point in the battleground and bringing back to the home base, this often degenerates into high level players camping around the entrances to the crystals and picking on the lower level players to boost their honor stats which is ZERO fun if you are a new player. The only way the battleground is competitive is when your at a high enough battle rating (BTW, IGNORE LEVELS AND BOOST THE BR HOWEVER YOU CAN)

"a robust guild system" - This part actually works. Its not as deep as they make it seem but guild masters and their lieutenants need a good relationship fora guild to work and their are great bonuses to being a guild member. Bottom line, join a good one so you can start getting better items and boosting your Battle Rating.

"Thousand player boss battles" - Not nearly as epic as you think. Its actually kind of fun though, a basic battle with a super hard boss you repeat over and over again to grind up your Gold and Daru aka experience for troops (when fighting battles on your own, you have two support troops to assist you in battle. They don't gain experience on their own, you level them up with "Daru".)

"Farming" - Its farming. Good for grinding up gold, exp, Daru, Kyanite, Insignia, and all the other various currencies for things. Way too much stuff to collect in this game. You got Shadow Crystals, Soul crystals, Balens (The stuff you actually have to pay for), Bound Balens (which are free but take a long time to really accumulate to be able to buy something you might really want to get.), all different kinds of seeds for your farm, Crypt Tokens for the Crypt Shop and Insignia for the Arena Shop, Glory Crystals for the glory shop that you win by betting Balens, steed cards so you can ride a horsey, etc etc.

Now even though I have taken the piss out of the game, I can't really say that its bad. It has to be the best MMO title by far that R2games have developed, since it actually lets you play the game and not just run you from point to point on autopilot. The battle system is fine and the skill tree is simple enough to understand. The graphics are generic but pretty well drawn and the music is standard fantasy music that isn't too offensive. Fighting in the game is ok, the best way to win any battle is to have a higher BR and troop level than your opponents, rarely you come across a tough battle where a key decision makes or breaks your victory.

I give this a 2.5. If you want a free to play MMO, this isn't too bad a choice but once you have invested a certain amount of time into the game there isn't really a deep experience to be had here. But for what it is I guess its ok.
