We had 6 or 7 lab classes to make this game and a lab is only 2hours long so we are proud of what we made (we did dedicate some outside of class time for the project because we didn't use the game template provided for the project).

aiming diagonally is difficult at best, turning is jerky, sometimes it doesn't respawn at all and it's difficult to control since there is no "ice effect" like in most asteroid games, where when you stop pushing forward the ship keeps moving for a second or two, then slows to a stop. i keep compensating for the nonexistent effect and die. too much time playing the original asteroids gave me that instinct to compensate.

I liked the Intro and the game is pretty fun to play, just got to get that bug out that you know about and it would be so much better.

Not bad for a first attempt, certainly better than some of the other things I've seen here. However, there are a few issues. The first thing I found annoying was the intro, there should be a more obvious way to skip it (Perhaps a button in the corner?). The fact that the ship can only turn 45 degree angles is probably the biggest flaw to the actual gameplay, asteroids is about precision shooting and that can't happen if you're aim is limited. Another issue I found was that if you turn while moving, you will continue moving in the same direction until you release the movement key, rather than moving you in the new direction as would be expected.

The gameplay is ok - Controls are bit unintuitive though, and the lack of power-ups makes this difficult for us.
