Here is its eulogy, a collection of the kind words written about it while still among the living. They shall live on forever in its place.

I know everyone hates it when someone submits an unfinished project to the portal, but for my evaluation I need feedback from the Newgrounds community!

So If you can spare a minute to critique my work so far, I would really appreciate it!

Thanks alot, the final animation will be finished for May 13th.

Reviews

I rather enjoyed this flash all be it isn't finished it had a smooth animation and I whould like to see a completed product. But it could do with some more explaining, plot, and dialogue. Still its unfinished and I must give this movie some credit, it has potential.

(Bad timing: the Portal is currently so backed up with new submissions, due to site problem....)
The intro shots seem to take a while to establish the setting, which is fine in a longer piece, but to live up to the title, you need to show more of what corruption does to people, or show it in context a bit more than you did... though the dark edifices and crumbling bridge, do qualify in that regard. Action seemed fine, though it looked a little out of context with the setting at times, but it just looks like unusual camera angles (no problem there, made it interesting to see).

Just keep going! It's hard to evaluate, when it's not a piece in and of itself. Best of luck!

ACK! MUST finish!!

I hate it when people submit half-finished items. Especially when they're great like this! D: You MUST finish!

Stop reading this review! It's taking time away from you working on the second half of this.

Why are you still reading?

GO! Now!

Badass job man, now finish it I want to see the rest. As far as critique goes I don't see much wrong with it keep up the good work.

Finish it.

All of my critique falls in with creative choices.

The bricking and castle looks really good...but why do the guard towers have these purple spiked bracelets around each of them? They look ridiculously out of place, and they serve no purpose...they're physically up so high, and yet, they look so blunt, poking outward radially, that what could they possibly achieve? Other than looking like something out of Hot Topic.

So there's a fuckload of robot guards with lasers patrolling the bridge...everything up to this point looked really medieval, so I guess now we're in the future. The robots look alright...but if they're programmed to patrol this bridge, they've probably done it enough so they know what to expect. Why do they need to physically have an english readout of "Yep, thats the moon. Yep, those are the same ol' mountains I've seen hundreds of times. WOAH WHATS THAT IN THE SKY, oh those are cloud...." That just seems kinda goofy. Even if its dudes in a power armor, not necessarily robots, what expensive-ass software needs to point out, "Hey. Thats the moon......and in case you can't tell, those are mountains. DO NOT BE ALARMED...DO NOT SHOOT AT THIS...THEY ARE CLOUDS."

But then its like, CAUTION, our protagonist is way the fuck out there! Look out!

(He has a goofy kind of lunging run, when he's goose-stepping towards the camera in that view)

(Also, have you ever seen Monty Python and the Holy Grail? He's kinda starting off his attacking charge at comical distances away, not unlike Sir Lancelot.)

So, he's engaged...and while we have music, we have NO sound effects for the laser gunfire...that would've been really helpful for the scene... and if these are robots with AI aiming and tracking systems, they are horribly inefficient... the guy is running in a straight line, TOWARD enemy fire, and lasers are just goin' all over the place.

If this King or Villain spent whatever untold fortunes on his robot armada, TRUSTING THEM WITH LASER RIFLES (which probably aren't cheap either) you would think he would have the state of mind to ensure the buckets of bolts could HIT SOMETHING. Show off why we should care or why our hero is a badass, by having him elude, deceive, or have his glistening, NOT-STEALTHY AT ALL, bright and shiny gold armor take a fuckload of abuse and it doesn't even faze him. Just lasers nailing him in the head, in the face, in the chest, and they're not doing anything. Smoke and sparks and explosions and CRAZY COOL sound effects to imply power and heat, and our hero is just like "Whatever bitch, buzzsaw sword through all of you."

...Which, yeah, this guy charged headfirst INTO a gunfight with a knife...no projectiles? No plan other than, "Oh well, I guess I'll just run at them and stab them. I'll be alright."

Work on it! That's my feedback.
