A game made for the #7DRL2013 (7 Day Roguelike Challenge) and #1GAM (One Game A Month). Thanks to my girlfriend for making the graphics and helping with game design. Everything was thrown together in 3 days, including original music.

I only had 3 days to finish it, since I came late to the party. My hard drive died on me (quite depressing you might say), so I had to set up an old laptop for programming. But I had a lot of fun making it, sorry I couldn't make it better in time.

Edit: Yes, there IS an ending.

Cute and interesting game. Couldn't get the ending, but I enjoy representation for depression.

Not exactly the most entertaining game, but a good representation of how silly the "emo" style is. It's like a mirror showing how ridiculous they look.

Too easy

I enjoyed it. I expected a different ending though, but it entertained me for 5 minutes.

As another reviewer said, this game is more about being 'emo' than real depression. People who are truly depressed want to get OUT of it, not deeper into it because it's cool and you dress all in black. It seems like the protagonist here is a stereotypical emo, viewing playing at being depressed as cool and somehow deep. Trust me, when you are depressed, blocking happiness is an involuntary reflex, not something you want to do actively. As someone with depression, I know whereof I speak.

Yeah you're absolutely right, it's definitely not about real depression. It's simply a silly idea to switch the roles of happiness and depression, where depression would be something that you would seek out and use to battle happiness. It does indeed seem "emo", but we honestly didn't have that in mind when we made the game - with 3 days to do it, there was not much time to think. It's just meant to be quirky, not to offend anyone.
