The Ghost Pianist

A 3D piano duel between two ghost pianists that represents the legends Frederic Chopin and Ludwig Van Beethoven.
This project took 3 months of work.

The funny thing about this is that I animated the characters playing the exact keys for all three songs, but turned out that I wanted to focus more on the characters face than the piano keys. So I spent 2 weeks animating every key and barley showed it. Created in: 3D Studio Max

Music by: Kework Der Stepanian
Full version of the first song can be found at: tch?v=fpObI0ViwtI

Vivi anyone? ^^

That was beautiful. :) Bit of a short dual, and one two transitions between the different melodies, but it worked well. It seems like as soon as you add classic piano music as a core of the plot, it turns into something fantastic. The characters aren't very slender, but they're well-rendered, and the clash of destruction and growth works well. Great sound quality, both for the music and for the characters/surrounding. Nice work!

Very nicely animated. Is it just me or does the first one look like that character from kingdom hearts 2.

You captured the inherant creepy-ness of the black mages perfectly. Although I pretty sure the one was a black waltz

Awsome animation Alldin. You are truly setting the bar high with this one.
No lag at all and the timeing with the ghosts key strokes on the piano were right on the money.

Max rating because this is the coolest thing I've seen for a long time. The animation was absolutely stellar, professional stuff, and I appreciated the general theme of "Good beats evil". Apologies that I can't comment on the Chopin/Beethoven aspect, but hey, it's there for someone right?
