PLEASE give me a minute of your time to review/comment with complaints or compliments- this is a college project (my first game) and I'm looking for feedback :-)

harsh criticism welcome as well as comments :-)

Jeremy archer is a fun, colorful, bouncy side scrolling game where the goal is to shoot down as many frisbees as possible whilst riding an arrow through a park. Remember Jeremy is only small and can be pushed over by gusts of wind and tree branches! Use the mouse button to shoot small guinea pig sized arrows at your targets, and move Jeremy up and down with your mouse.

ummmm i just dont get it... i need some kind of story... with this i just get hey you are a rodent shooting arrows... no real draw to continue playing

with that being said still probably something way better than i could do...just keep working at it

If this is your fist attempt at a game.. Then it is good. If it is not.. Well.. keep trying.. All the controls worked and responded well at least. Was explained fairly well instruction wise. I seemed to have blown off my arrow when no wind knocked me.. But I may be mistaken.

Gamatech responds:

Thanks for the feedback, it's apriciated :-) and yes this is my first attempt ^^ normally i'm doing 3D modelling, coding is out of my comfort zone :-L as for the death, perhaps a tree or frisbee hit you as they can also knock you off :-)

i dislike this game in general, mainly due to not being a fan of this art style, though i do understand some like this. besides that, i played had no idea what i was doing and died, then tried again(at this point one of the arrows you shoot was stuck in middle of screen) and died again and the start button was gone. perhaps fix these glitches and people who like this type of thing will actually love it.

Gamatech responds:

Thanks for the feedback, it really helps :-) i am aware of a glitch after the game finishes where the "game over" screen will constantly flash back and forth to the start menu with the absence of a start button. I tried adding a "restart" button after death, but because of the code i made and CS3's limitations this wasn't possible. It was frustrating, but because of deadlines i had to publish it before this glitch was buffed out. I will certainly use the info you've given in my report :-)

i'm beside you
