This is my first serious animation. If you haven't seen my other two, don't. They aren't very good.

This is about depression and how one of the greatest weapons against it is the support of your friends and loved ones.

I'd love some support on youtube!

i really liked this short, it is very well coriographed and it shows that we need someone to rely on and help us when we are down and at our weakest moments.

Cr1sisEntertainment responds:

That's exactly the message I was trying to get across with this short, nice observation. I've been critisized a lot for being too simple and that's okay, but being my first cartoon and also something I wanted to get off my chest before getting into other stuff, I wanted it to be simple.

Giving you a 3 for a good animation. It's solid work, but I have to dock you for the storyboard (if you used one.)

You have a great emotive piece, but it falls short in how easy it is for the protaganist to shake the shadows. It's far too simple. The shadows should've swallowed the girl and left him alone and messed with him some more. More faceless people should come and seem to be concerned only to be swept away. The world at his fingertips should tauntingly be kept just out of reach.

The protaganist should have an epiphany and realize these shadows are of his own making. We create our own hells and that's the thing that pushes others away. Then when he confronts the darkness the girl reappears and she pulls him into the light. You can't just run away from the dark -it's always there. You have to confront it. People just show you where the light is when you're ready to embrace it.

very cute.
but i feel like the story was way to simple.

I really nice short film, thanks Cr1sis!

That was awesome!
But one thing though your youtube button doesnt work it's nothing big but just a thing to look at on your next video.

Cr1sisEntertainment responds:

Thank you! Yeah, I noticed that too. It worked when I tested it offline. I'll try my best to get it working next time.
If anyone who reads this knows how to get it working I would love a PM or something telling me how. I used Actionscript 2.0
