In every Final Fantasy cinematic, I've always wondered why they don't really emphasize the spells that much since the name of the spells sort of what makes Final Fantasy its franchise. So I tried it myself and see how it would look like.

Sorry for the late review, watched this movie back in January of 2013, and even now in 2020 it still amazes me, very high fantasy as the author intended it to be. I always saw this as a White Mage Vs Black Mage, one intended to save humanity, the other intending to Destroy it (Yes, white mages usually don't use offensive spells, then again how else are they going to win?) Sadly, I lack the creative wisdom of explaining what makes this so great, but i think the narrative that the viewer themselves fills in that gap.

I think the white stick is a Red Wizard, since he used Cura. The black one is obviously a Summoner, due to him summoning... whatever da fuq is that. And this thing is perfection, Congratulations.
I came in expecting awesomeness, and that's what I got.
You do not dissappoint, my friend.
I think I'll keep an eye on you...
