The ST 5000 will show a slice of the mystery shape as it moves up and down. If you can't figure it out, try clicking the Hint button with your mouse to get a clearer view. Once you've deduced what the shape is, click on the correct answer from the available four choices.

Speedy answers will give you more points, while incorrect answers and using hints will decrease your overall score.

The only thing I have to say is that is isn't very obvious what we are even supposed to be looking for. I was expecting a question or something. Maybe some sort of instructions saying that you are looking for the shape the scanner reveals. I didn't realize it until after I used a hint. It is really good otherwise, and I am in favor of any educational games.

Whatever went into this game is so far beyond me that all I can say is that I love the concept, and I think that this redefines edutainment. It doesn't weigh you down with statistics and huge blocks of reading. It's fast-paced, with great illustrations and teaches Math, or at least inspires an interest, and it's FRIENDLY.

overall, a really innovative and educational game that doesn't leave much room for frustration. Only flaw may lie in it's simplistic "multiple choice" approach.

josephmcarney responds:

I went back and forth a lot with how I wanted the player to answer the problem (between mult. choice and an input text). I eventually settled on mult. choice because I wanted to focus more on vocabulary and less on spelling. I thought it could create frustrating game play trying to figure out the correct spelling when you knew what the answer was. I, for one, can never figure out how to spell parallel :P
