Man the forge and craft your best weapons for your warriors in Jacksmith! You're a donkey on a mission that takes you across the land, but the trails are blocked by a variety of monsters -- time to call in the local warrior clans for help! You'll design swords, bows, shields, and other weapons in a completely hands-on blacksmith shop. When all of your soldiers are equipped, it's off to battle to fight your way further down the path! While the warriors fight, you'll need to gather loot and help out with your trusty cannon. Collect better ores and parts to make even better weapons, and keep making progress across the land towards the evil wizard Dudley!

A great time management game, with elements of puzzle and RPG thrown in too. Gameplay is pretty straightforward, but that doesn't make it any less fun. Gonna have to remove 1.5 stars for the excessive ads though - I get that you guys want to promote your other games and that's fine, but on the main menu there's 7 ads for other Flipline games, which is enough as it is without mentioning the bonus money for liking their Facebook page and the fake loading screen ads between every level.
In short, the game itself is excellent, but the ads take away from the experience a little.

I would have given this another star or 2 if it were not for the ad on EVERY round.
Personally, I was a bit frustrated that ore would sometimes appear at the left edge of the screen while the screen was panning to the right and I was collecting other stuff.
Not that hard to get high 90s or even 100% on every item, so I quickly got to the point where I wished I could automate it. (Maybe someone wrote a script for this?)
Also, I didn't find collecting loot in battles, or firing the cannon (or both) to be a "plus".
The most enjoyable part of the game, for me, was designing weapons to make them more effective. There is a feeling like: once you miss finishing a battle series, you can never make up the lost ground, and you just keep falling further behind.

Boy, I used to be absolutely crazy about this game. Fantastic art, intuitive gameplay mechanics, and an immersive environment where we collect the parts necessary to make stuff. We were even given the privilege of seeing the weapons we had made in action, ON THE BATTLEFIELD, *AND* WE PARTICIPATED IN THE COMBAT!! I played this game for hours on end.

Bear in mind, none of that has changed. The only thing that DID change is that one patch. You know the one I'm talking about... It's the one that everyone's bitching about! I'm referring to the one that added those fucking fake loading screens just to skirt around AdBlock and shoehorn in ads for Papa's Pizzeria/Burgeria/Diarrhea/Gonorrhea/et ceteria. That was a genuinely upsetting "addition."

Please know that I'm sympathetic to how a big Flash game website has to advertise themselves one way or another; but this way just seemed underhanded. The Papa's Whateveria series is already enough of a cookie-cutter fiasco (in my opinion), and I assure you I will NEVER click on those dumbass ads (at least not intentionally). All in all, I feel it really speaks to the desperation of whomever makes those things that you let them bleed into your GOOD games.

Also bear in mind that I'm aware that the ads make up a fairly small portion of the time spent on any one session, so it's not that much to complain about. As with the reviewers below, I'm complaining about the principle of the thing... and then complacently continuing with the game.

Because it's still fun, goddammit. I REALLY don't want to admit it after what Papa's XYZia did to Jacksmith... but it is still really, really fun. :P
