Fun game, until the bugs get in the way. Plus, there are a few bad design choices:
1. The flamethrower is next to useless. A short-range weapon is supposed to be balanced with higher damage output and maybe the ability to pass through enemies to deal extra damage with each shot. Here, however, I find that the flames deal less damage over time than any of the other weapons, even the default gun, making it a downgrade that I explicitly avoid.
2. The "double ammo" pickup is useful only if you've already got a ton of ammo, but nearly useless if you have only two shots left. It's not a big problem, but I'd recommend instead making the power-up give you as much ammo as if you'd picked up your current weapon again.
3. When I first click down the mouse button, the first shot should fire instantly. Only afterwards should there be a delay before the next shot. Instead, when I fire slow-loading guns like the shotgun or laser rifle, I have to hold the button down a bit before the first shot comes out. This is a big problem when you're surrounded by bad guys, low on ammo, and can't quite predict when you'll actually fire. I don't know how you've coded the "hold down for continuous fire" function, but it needs fixing because I find this to be the biggest problem with the whole game.
Also, I don't know if this has been mentioned yet, but there's a bug with the zombie Jesus boss in which the "blast wave" from his lightning bolts doesn't disappear after they hit the ground, causing sprites to accumulate and slow down the game.
