Made in about a day and a half for Ludum Dare 24! We're a team of 2 so it's in the Game Jam section instead of the main compo.
EvoluTone is a game where you play a single celled organism trying to attract other delicious cells with lights and sounds.
Controls: Left Arrow - Red, Up Arrow - Yellow, Right Arrow - Blue.
Gather up a full ring of delicious coloured cells to get a x2 bonus for that round!

Why in the HELL do you people keep on making games in 48 hours or less?! Its not a godamn contest on who can make a game the fastest! If you have a good creative idea take your damn time and stop rushing! A good game isn't made in 48 hours and THAT sir is why this game sux cheese balls...

The only effective way to get good at game design is to design games, the more games you can design the better. These 48 hour competitions are basically just the game designer equivalent of an artists practice sketches.
Most game designs that might seem like great fun in your head will actually turn out to be really pretty terrible when you put them together, more often than not they're full of unexpected problems. Knowing that only maybe 1 in 15 ideas is going to be any good at all, it would be a mistake take our time over every silly little idea.

This was weird, because I couldn't understand why I was losing at first. I guess it's just too hard of a game. Silly me, I thought I had gone through all of the evolution games here. Well, it's kind of sad to think about all the trillions of cells you'll have to go through to get that done. I guess this is why I'm not a scientist. It didn't seem to have any music.
Granted, I don't think music would have made it much better, but it would still be nice. At least everything is presented in a very clear cut manner. It doesn't really need more detail. I guess I'm frustrated with it because I think it should be easier. I guess people who are better at this game should enjoy it.
Insanely hard, and I have very good reflexes. Also very limited and boring.
