Here's my entry for Ludum Dare 24! The theme this time was Evolution. Ludum Dare is a world wide game developing contest where participants must work alone and create a game from given theme in under 48 hours.

In this game, you must travel the stages and eat creatures that are smaller than you. After you have eaten
enough, you are ready to evolve and you need to find the stage exit to proceed to the next level. You need to eat around 20 creatures to get a message that you are ready to evolve. You don't have to eat every single creature in the level.

Use arrow keys to move and jump/swim
Use Space to bite.
Use P to pause
- and + to adjust volume
0 to mute/unmute
Esc to return to main menu

NOTE: If the game appears very laggy for you, try different browser. No guarantee, but I've heard it's fixed the problem with some folks.

I wanted to play as the dragon :(

It's a nice idea for a game, but the controls are abysmal. They either stick, or just don't work period, which adds a lot of unnecessary difficulty to the game.

It's an awesome game, just kinda want it be be longer... if it was, I'd give this a 5 star!

My only complaint with this game, given that it's a Jam game (or so I presume?) is that you don't get to play as the dragon at the end. x3 A flying bonus level where nothing but maybe the clock is your adversary would have been cool. Still, it's a fun little experience, a good three stars or so I'd say.
