~~~WASD to move~~~
~~~Arrow Keys to shoot (when you evolve enough)~~~

My entry for Ludum Dare 24, a 48 hour game making competition. The theme was evolution. Play as a slime that evolves the more it eats, and use you evolution to defeat your enemies. Gain friends, defeat bats and alligators. Thanks for the feature. Link to Ludum Dare page for the game: http://www.ludumdare.com/

Made in FlashPunk.

seriously, the idea is good but the monsters killing me in one hit when not even touching me, not cool.

Well, we all know that for a game made in only 48 hours, is good to be working and stuff, but, there are "gaming idea" flaws.

The most important one is that you don't even need to worry about moving in the first evolution, just let the flowers gather at the stage, and then collect'em, and making this on every evolution level, you gain lots of evo points without much hardwork.

Anyway, graphs are okay, music is SUPER ANNOYING D:
and need a pause/mute button. Rly.

Anyway, nice going for the 48h game run.

Very unpolished. Even a hint of a story, like just some text or a splash screen, would have been so much better than nothing. Don't seem to be any instructions for controls anywhere, either.

Not much to play after you die two or three times. But still. 48 hours.

There are many "nr" moment in this game... it need a HELL OF A LOT OF TWEAKING. Considering that you did this in 24 hours... I can tell that this game is good, as I tried to design a game in 3 weeks and my game did worse then this... And I didn't have to design my own graphics either >__>

So, I say 3.5 stars... It's an impressive feat for 24 hours, but the game mechanics need a LOT of work... and the level design... VERY annoying (no I'm not talking about the square, I'm talking about how you respawn in the game)

Pixelulsar responds:

48 hours, you give me too much credit.

It's cute and it's a solid idea. I enjoyed it at first, but after having to restart I got bored. Perhaps checkpoints would keep the game from being repetitive and frustrating.
