I go over the basics of proportions in line art, to be honest there is lots to cover in this topic. I tried to make it as short as possible yet understandable. If you have questions I'll answer them in a PM. I hope this helps those who need some help drawing the female face.

A message for anyone using this, once you have created a drawing please post it on Newgrounds and send me a PM with a link. I would love to see what you guys make!

here is the thread for this

You're welcome :D I hope it helps you

Very nice. Looking forward to seeing more from you.

I really like this tutorial! It is very clear, concise and on the point.
My drawing is turning out pretty well in my opinion and it was a couple of years since I drew anything at all. Although, I'm having a bit of trouble on the hair part. Are you going to cover that in another tutorial soon or do you have any other guides to recommend? I'm having a hard time finding a tutorial that is as good as this one!

Blud-Shot responds:

I might cover that later, but there's no promise about it. My school is starting so I'll be booked :S

I suggest you go to deviantart for hair tutorials.

It's really nice. Very informing, and teaches others who struggle what they are doing wrong, and how they can improve.
My only complaints are, that the shoulders are to low. Need to be brought up higher. The way you have them placed is making the neck seem to long. The eyebrows are a bit to far up away from the eyes. I think they should be brought down a little bit.
I can link you to a self portrait study that i did, that still has all of my placement lines and how I set things up if you want. I think it will help you further your understanding of the head. (Granted it is about a year old now.)

Blud-Shot responds:

Thanks for the feedback. I'd love to see the work you have done - link it through a PM. I agree that some areas are off. I guess it's the bad habits I haven't gotten rid of yet. I don't know if you will read this message so I'll send you a PM to notify you :)
