I enjoyed the game overall but the last level is painfull! If you could make it so you instantly die when you fall off an edge that would be better at the moment I have to sit and watch the game glitch out for ages before fully dying.

An average hack-and-shoot-em-up.

The game is a nice change of pace from the turn-based fighting of the more classic LethalRPG's, but it doesn't seem like it's trying to be really new. Now, don't get me wrong. The game has impressive foundation, and the story is nice, if a tid bit under-developed. The music sets the space-age atmosphere quite lovely, even if it does get annoyingly repetitive. The skills system is average, and the fable-like approach to using a sword/gun/spell on the fly is well-done.

However, I get this nagging feeling that it just comes off as...ordinary. While the shop does a great job of splitting equipment to make things simple to find, it over-complicates the shop menu, having to backtrack and go to a new section every time you want a different item.

The combat, the game's key factor in its core gameplay, seems a little wonky. There's no real way to aim a gun besides crouching, so it may come off as somewhat unhelpful, and the melee isn't very diverse, even though shields serve to make the combat near-balanced. Plus, the dodge roll move is set into the magic tab, so you ultimately have to choose between magic or evasion. To make things worse, it only makes you roll backwards to where you stand, so it's somewhat limited in its use, whereas jumping gives you more mobility and well-rivals dodge rolling in efficiency.

As I mentioned, the story is good, to say the least, but comes off as uninspired and a little dull, with the characters and their personalities being somewhat forgettable. Plus, and this goes without saying, typos and grammer errors run rampant through the diologue, somewhat downgrading the already average story. And this may sound petty, put Dantes McTron? Really?

While the game does earn points in its favor with some well-detailed planets and areas, the animations of the main heroine and the enemies are kind of bulky, with Ziva looking as if her limbs are shaking a slight erratically when standing in place.

Overall, the game aspires to be different from its predecessors, but comes off as a bit malencholy; like it's missing that push that could make it to be something more.

Sympathic, but need improvement with moves/missions and more enemies.
I enjoyed playing i tough, and LOVE the chara design (very "Akira-DBZ-Style").
