Argue the toss in a twisted tale of logic...

In ir/rational you complete, create and discredit arguments by selecting propositions and filling in the blanks. It's a puzzle game based on propositional logic, and a graphic adventure all in one - only here you don't so much need to escape the room as prove why you'd even want to.

- Unique, language-based argument system: formulate logical proofs to progress through the game

- Dark philosophical comedy by Tom Jubert, writer of Penumbra, Driver: San Francisco and FTL.

- 10 screens and roughly half an hour of intelligent, challenging and inventive gameplay

- Musical score by award-winning composer Mikko Tarmia

- Complete the arguments by selecting options from the drop-down menus

NB Some systems don't display all the dropdown options at once, and you have to use the arrow keys to scroll.

If you can't see the right answer, chances are you can resolve the problem with the arrow keys. Hope it's not dampened your enthusiasm!

Very clever, very twisted and very fun. There was definitely a 'portal' vibe going on with the test subject talk and the slightly off-kilter machine. Too bad we never did escape or find out who we were.
I do wish I had read the summary about the arrow key business ahead of time though, I almost drove myself nuts on the logic problem proving Micheal Atkinson is a douche because I couldn't see half the answers. Is there any way to make that more obvious, or add it into the game/menu screen just as a heads-up to players?

I love this. You sir win one internets.

Is amazing.

I know I give five stars to almost everything I try,but this conquers everything.

loved it

the only problem is that when i used the arrow keys it changed ALL of my answers sometimes (Google Chrome)

Very rarely do I ever feel a game deserves 5 stars, but you my friend have earned it. This reminds me of a mixture of computer coding and mathematical proofs, which I luckily have a lot of experience with both. I give you 5 stars for your innovative game style, your colorful vocabulary used, mixed in with a pitch black humor such as the humor used in the Portal games. I also like that it's not too long of a game so people get bored and feel like they're doing homework, but it's also not too short to the point where I wouldn't bother with a review. And I thank you for taking a step away from the ordinary internet flash games, and please keep up the good work. The internet gaming community needs new things like these.
