this is just to show where i have started and to look back on for future reference I understand that this is not a 5 star game but I am eager to hear feedback and see what people reckon could be improved and how I may implement that in code.

Update 1
*fixed the wall stickiness a bit he now bounces off of them a bit more
*added music by the talented BreinStijn einStijn

link to his youtube channel

*reduced the size of the spikes and edited the hit box

*added a nice icy background to explain why the 'Minotaur' slides around so much

still need some more feedback to polish this turd some more ok guys then i will move on to my next piece and hope to do a lot better.

*further improved the hit detection

*added a reset button (the big orange R) that works on click

Easy on the eye and to control, like it!

not bad only the hit detection is pretty rough, if you just touch it by a scratch it will stop the car and hardly to move.
but nice try :D

I understand this is your first flash but the controls are a little to sensitive its like I'm sliding on ice.

CammyB08 responds:

ok well i plan to edit them as well as improve the design with sound and the like, do you think i should halve the speed its currently at 0.4 pixels and i can have it so it stops when the key is released if you would prefer?

3 Problems/ Bugs In The Game That Need To Be IMPROVED:
* Ice Skating: If I slightly tap the arrow keys ONCE for a split second, the character seems to move until it hits a wall, so it's IMPOSSIBLE to avoid the spikes.
* As Afro-Nova said, BRUTAL hit detection: Even if you're about 10 pixels away from spikes, you die.
* Afro-Nova also said, Sticky Walls: running into a wall gets you stuck in place, unable to move in any direction except directly away from the wall.
I understand that this is your first game, so instead of giving this 2 *s, I'll give this 3.5 *s

CammyB08 responds:

i have worked out that the hit detection is on the spikes is because the original file had a white background so they are kinda bigger than they look, i plan to change this in my first update as well as put in some sound. however I am still at a loss as how to fix the stickyness of the walls i want some acceleration as i think the icy controls add to the difficulty but it does need improving substantially and i find i am having to rely on online guides as i dont have the support of my uni teachers during the summer
