This is a game I made for my grade 12 programming class over the course of about 2 months. I was really inspired by Jasper Byrne's Lone Survivor, so this is also kind of a fan game!
UPDATE:
-Tweaked the "insanity" system, so it takes longer to go insane. Killing an enemy makes your insanity go down.
-Made the music a bit louder.
-Changed movement speed when walking backwards.
I don't think weapon mode is toggled for me. I keep pressing shift and nothing happens. I shoot and nothing happens either.

I'm really sorry about that. I had no idea what the hell I was doing when I programmed this thing. That is a bug that I wasn't aware of until like months after I posted it here. It seems to happen on different computers... Unfortunately, I also lost the original file/code for this game... so I won't be able to fix it :/
Man, you have no idea how much it pains me to hear that people can't play the game properly. I swear I've gotten better at programming since making this!

Glad you liked it! Unfortunately, I've lost the original file/code for this game so I can't fix any bugs :/ I'm really sorry about that. I've been getting better with keeping/backing up files + making less buggy games (well... sort of) so hopefully my future projects will... actually... work!
Had decent game mechanics, loved the ability to become insane. But I wished it would do more than just fuzz up the screen and forced you to zoom in. The aura and outline of the game seems very horror like, but the drawing of the main character completely ruined the feel of this being a horror game. Take examples from games such as Lone Survivor as references. ( Though, I think you might have due to the drawing of the monsters. ) It's not terrible it just needs some more work.

There are some different effects that happen when your character goes insane besides the camera zooming in, but I'll agree that they could've been better. This was also one of the first times I've ever made pixel "art" for the graphics, so my lack of skill definitely shows in some of the graphics. Anyways, thanks for the feedback!
