Woo! Thanks for the front page Tom!!
And thanks Prodevus for telling me!

You are the zombie in this human apocalypse arcade game (Interesting twist, huh?)
The goal is to survive for as long as you can while humans try to capture you!

Disclaimer - you can not infect other zombies, sorry! I hadn't thought of that until you guys told me. I will work to create an altered game-mode version in the future :)

- There's achievements for you to get! GET THEM!
- Try and get your name at the top of the scoreboard (see below).

It's an infinite world with the following features:
- There are bricks that you can break by shooting at them. The humans can break through blocks also!
- There is TNT which you can blow up (But be careful if you're too close!).
- There is water which slows you down.
- There are health power-ups that restore 1/10 of your health.
- There is Notch's Minecraft head! It only has a .0075% chance to spawn. It's just for fun.

Now that I've actually had a good chance to play it, I've found that having a strategy is the best way to survive. My strategy is to go back and forth in an area right from the start, breaking all of the blocks and shooting anything that's in my way. Once the humans come and start breaking the blocks, I'll have more room to move around! Using your enemies to work for you! How cool!? Also, using that method, it's easier to find hearts.

- Score save properly again
- Reset highs scores because of weird numbers (Sorry!)
- Added pause
- Updated instructions
- Added energy boost

A nice, reversed game

I loved how nostalgic this game is: pixel graphics, hearts as health, and shops. I also liked how there was lightning and thunder.
Graphics: 10/10
Music: 10/10
Gameplay: 10/10
Overall: 10/10

Zanzlanz responds:

I was trying to go for an older style game, indeed, but there isn't any shops yet... :(
Thanks for noticing the thunderstorm! It adds a simple, neat effect, doesn't it?
And thanks a high rating :D

CaptMorganNU took the words right out of my mouth... All you did was change the skins this had no real difference. When I read the instructions my first thought is,
"cool I get to convert humans to my ally and make them chase other humans as well."
No, that's not what happen, for whatever reason the zombie uses a gun and is shooting zombies, and eating hearts that are conveniently laying on the ground. The creativity was wasted.

Would you vote higher if you were a human?

Let's be honest, the only difference between this and any other zombie game is that you changed the skin of the hero.
Most zombie games: You are the lone human with a gun, being chased by a horde of mindless zombies that are moaning "Brains!".
Your zombie game: You are the lone zombie with a gun, being chased by a horde of mindless humans moaning "Zombies!"
What you should have done is give select humans guns, and give you the ability to bite defenseless humans and turn them into zombies, so they can go after other humans and create a defense between you and the armed humans. At least then you would have truly turned the tables.

Zanzlanz responds:

Yeah makes sense. Then, I suppose, it would become too easy because your "army" will exponentially grow...
The only solution is to eventually spawn EVERY human with a gun... but even then, would your "army" be too powerful? What is the condition for winning?
I think my approach was more simple.

Very fun game. Nice and simple, the kind of thing you can load up and play whenever you want to kill some time and enjoy yourself without being overly complicated - everything you want in a flash game.

Zanzlanz, I think part of the reason shops in flash games are becoming popular is because of the aspect it adds to the game - if someone sees something in the shop they want, they become hooked. It adds something to the game, changes the gameplay slightly, and gives players something to aim for, a goal, you know? Makes a game feel a bit more substantial. That's my reasoning anyway.

Zanzlanz responds:

Your statement brings up a little nostalgia of how Flash games used to be like. Remember the first BIG flash game? I believe it was this one: It's so simple yet it was a time killer for people on the internet to play. Nowadays people are looking for full-blown PC games on Flash.
There's no problem in that, but it's crazy how fast things changed.

Your reasoning is as good as mine is for shops. But I had 3 people comment about shops on this game (my first shooting game), and I've never gotten that request before. I'll keep that in mind for later though - add a shop. xD
