You are Hug Marine - a custom-built warrior forging your way through hostile alien territories in order to find the native life and hug the living hell out of it! GO HUG SOMETHING!
[dev note: this was my first game, made with Stencyl as part of a month-long game jam for complete noobsticks. enjoy!]
(By the way, if you like the music, it's all available over at my music section! Download, enjoy, etc!)
this is better then i thought an amazing game with a simple and fun idea with great gameplay you got potential man i love it i faved it the levels were well done and the aliens all looked diferen i cna tell you how fun this is i can see this one the 8 bit consoles back in the day :3 its cute its fun its HUG MARINE GOT TO BUY IT GOT TO BUY IT!!!!!
verdict:fun entertaining family friendly flash game with a funky 8 bit style and a cute little ending for the aliens with a simple game mechanic and control with great classic 6 bit music to boot :D
Baaaaw so sweet! Liked everything, except for the fact that at the first level i died 3 times near the ending and had to do all over again. Except for that, i think this is a good game, nice music, nice ambience, fx, meaning, and nice wiggle in the last lvl! It's a really cute game!
i expected hugging to be more prevalent. you lose a star for not enough hugs.
even tho i never beat it i like it
You know how sometimes, when there's a sequel, it's just pretty much the first one, but in space? That's what I feel this is doing, where it's just saying "Hug Marine, but this time, in X!" The levels are the same thing, with a different look, and that thing is pretty much just: Jump from point A to point B, and that's it; technically, I didn't even hug anything, I just got to point B. I will admit, the whole concept is funny and pleasant parody of the space marine trudging through dark backgrounds, blah blah blah, and so when I saw "Hug Marine," I was thinking of a parody of a space marine themed shooter, b/w hugs, but all it was was jumping, which kind of dissapointed me.
