Hello Newgrounds! I missed you.
I finally have the opportunity to show you LUCKY DAY FOREVER. Completed 2011, premiering at last online NOW, right here on Newgrounds!

"Prole 514 dreams about winning the Great Lottery. The lottery winner is transformed and allowed admission into the elite White society, where everyone is beautiful, young and happy and people spend their carefree lives solely on fun and partying. One day, 514's wish comes true... but was this what he really wanted?"

Thanks for all the great feedback and reviews, kind and less kind alike! Yes, I do read them all.

Absolutely amazing. The ending really changed my standpoint on the whole story though. 5/5

Very Nice!

I enjoyed the portrait of the ethnic minority in a corrupt future. It was unique for an online animation.

I thought the style and atmosphere very much reminded me of 'The Matrix', specifically, 'The Animatrix'. I don't know if you drew stylistic influence from it, or it's all a big coincidence, but I enjoyed it very much.

Excellent movie and excellent story. Really love it.

A great masterpiece.

Not easy to understand completely (not in the least). The whole story is open to speculations and different readings. I think it's even impossible to say whether the ending is sad, gloomy, dispirited, unjust... maybe even happy, because by losing his life (that he despised and of which he was so ashamed that he wanted to dump it for a new one) the poor little man stood - angry with himself - in a place above all others, for before the end he reached a full awareness of the society he looked up to so much. It's just a matter of which layer of interpretration the single spectator chooses to look at.
In my opinion it's also an easy way out to speak of plagiarism, or intellectual theft if you prefer: the (maybe by many viewers unnoticeably) deep psicology of the characters is perceived so vividly through the flawless animations, cuts and drawings that the whole idea becomes original and (horrificly) fresh in every aspect.
Furthermore, I believe the music on the background is so agonizingly monotonous for a specific stylistic choice (oh, it brings much more despair to the big picture! Being it timeless and carefree, just try to feel the creepy and unwavering discrepancies with the portrayed themes).
Nearly impossible to be rated properly. Bravo.
