Best game ever played so awesome yea

I like gladiators and the whole concept. the implementation is pretty cool with customization and other fun shit ... but this one of those social media games that you play on facebook and I resent that. Go to youtube and watch Jonathan Blow's lecture.
I mean honestly it's like farmville (which is the worst, most evil piece of flaming **** in the history of gaming) you're trying to share your game, get players, get advertisers (all the while getting them to pay you MORE), get idiots who would actually buy "money" for this game.
it gets you hooked into playing a game for hours, coming back every day, and all the while... what have you REALLY accomplished? the game itself is not fun. there's no real challenge. its just progressing through a series of obstacles, no story, no ultimate ending, nothing. You just press flashing buttons to attack. There's no skill involved, no thinking involved, and certainly no depth. there's no more stimulation through the multiplayer than there is in visiting someone else's "ville" in one of zynga's craptacular money-raping games. as gamers i implore you, don't play these POS games, because its making bad people a lot of money so they can make more pieces of crap, and make more money. fund good games by giving them your attention and money. games with insight, originality, depth, skill, fun. ALL THAT GOOD STUFF. all i ask is that before you play a game, think to yourself "is this really a good game? or am i just being tricked?" because i'm sure if you think about it, you've played a game exactly like this before, and you won't get anything more out of playing yet another time-waster.

This is one of the best games i played in a while. It kidna copies the Swords and Sandals game but with so many additions: Limb dismemberment , more gladiators and with goals to complete. Even if I think that this game is a little bit repetitive I love it . GOOD WORK.

Well, it's very addicting and fun, but enough to out-weight how repetitive it is. I got bored with it after I got started with Nicomedia. .....Also double-checking the name, I noticed my save data is gone?

Fun and addictive but what flash games aren't nowdays?

The game is good, but there are so many problems with it. Now, I have no problem with game makers wanting to make money, gladly accept them putting up advertisements and giving incentives to donate and share the game with friends... but it's kind of a dick move to disguise those extra parts as integral parts of the game. By this I mean, putting in buttons and flashing icons that look like they're part of the game, but that actually rely on something outside of the game... uhh... yeah, dick move.

Also, the items and levelling is so hilariously unbalanced I can't believe it. Oh, and if anyone wants to sensibly reset their levelling because they accidentally spent it on naff things, then they have to shell out for the reset, and am I imagining it or does that reset price increase every time you use it? You can't create unbalanced skills and stats and then punish us for wanting to use different ones. Just sayin'.

Speaking of such matters... money is both useless and in short supply. New members for my team cost loads and new items that are better than the ones I have now are hard to come by, especially if I've been using the blacksmith. Of course, I won't be using that blacksmith much because (not only does he, for some unxplained reason, generate items for me at random) the metals needed to get new items are only got one-off from doing tasks, or from that outside game shit, which plagues so many games nowadays.

Oh, and the key part of the game? The battles? They've got so many annoying quurks, I don't know where to start. The bits that make no sense (losing a limb/piece of armour then regaining it after the match... fighting against teams you killed in your last encounter with them... etc.) are kinda bad and take me out the game and, whilst I think they can be improved upon immensley, my main problem is that the battles go on longer than they should. If my character or my opponent's character is incapacitated, unable to do anything and with no hope of recovery, then there should be some automatic forfeit thing. Because when I'm incapacitated, I either have to wait for myself to bleed to death, or I have to simply quit (also, why is quitting only possible on your turn?) to get it over with... thereby giving up a small reward at the end of the match.

I could spend ages going into all the other little problems, but there's really no point. It's a fun and addictive little game but, as I said, it's not hard to make games addictive if you know how, and yeah I'll concede that it's fun. It's also nicely put together and stuff but the various bits that go into it, whilst they could be good, fall very much short of actual, immediate goodness.
