You are Daniel, a researcher at the Time Travel Research Facility where you study both time manipulation and dimensional transfer. But one day the extradimensional creatures kept in cages break free and wreak havoc on the entire facility. As Daniel tries to escape from the labs full of danger, he learns that the breakout was caused by more than negligence or coincidence. Treason may be found at the highest levels.

In this platformer game, you rewind time to get to inaccessible places, avoid death or synchronize sentinels. You slow down time to avoid long trap corridors, outmaneuver extradimensionals and avoid projectiles. You can also pick up time grenades to send your foes into the future. This way, you can bypass them entirely or at least move yourself into advantageous position in the meantime.

(arrow keys) - movement
(hold A or Shift) - rewind time
(hold S or Ctrl) - slow down time
(press Space) - throw time grenade (if you have any)
(press R) - restart level

You gain 1000 points whenever you enter a level.
You gain 1 point whenever you kill an enemy.
You lose 10 points whenever you are "near death".
You lose 30 points whenever you restart the level.

I'm a sucker for time-manipulation. I don't think the mechanic was used as well as it could have been. When dying, for example, you hold 'a' to rewind time. The problem with this was that, if you'd been slowing time when you died, you could rewind yourself into the same hazard that killed you three or four times. Additionally, the time grenades were only needed for one part. It would've been nice to see some puzzles where syncing enemies was required.

Oracions responds:

The "rewinding into death" loop is a problem, I agree.

As for time grenades, they're actually necessary in three parts: in the level in which they are introduced to fight Spikes, in the "military men checkpoint" and in the same level in the room downstairs. They also help a bit in the boss battle.

Syncing enemies is an interesting concept I could have used. At one point in the boss battle, though, you may use it to sync the non-organic with organic projectiles to make it easier to jump in the gap.

The programming and music were fine, but Chris, you need to get your act together, i had no motivation to read the speach bubbles. The writing was so meh. To improve, have a look at some games that have done it right.

Great game and concept although it seems impossible to pass threw the "not even military men can run pass this" checkpoint.

Oracions responds:

To pass this checkpoint, you must use time grenades. Hold (S) just after the row projectiles falls down and run up to the first obstacle. Jump over it and go to the next obstacle. Now wait until the next row of projectiles is just above your head and throw a time grenade to the obstacle. The projectile row will disappear and you may jump over the obstacle and to the exit. You may use additional time grenades if necessary.

Good storyline, decent gameplay. The game seems simple yet creative. The audio is also pretty sweet. It fits the situation. It could use a little work but it is pretty nice.
