The Captain voyages to an alien swamp in search of another of Laserbeard's treasures. The treasure is hidden in the dungeon of an ancient castle. The castle once belonged to the The Insect King, a fearsome conqueror from ancient times. You must delve into the history of the castle and battle the insectoid population of the planet in order to recover the treasure.

Don't know how to go on execpt for the first and second area, the playable character doesn't even turn when you aim/walk the other way...

Was fun until I got inside the castle and had to hit the switches to get to through the throne area. The right area, with the flame things, well getting through without getting hit the first pass is no problem, coming back and using food to replenish health is the problem. Whenever I used the food, it'd slow me down instead of speeding me up which makes it impossible to dodge those spike things coming at you. Fix it. Then the game will get more stars.

malec2b responds:

That food is intended to slow you down. it says Speed x0.5. I've updated the game to make this more clearn (it now says x 1/2). It's a trade you make for getting the extra health. There is other food that you can find which will not slow you down.

one major flaw, a map system would have been nice, aimlessly wandering gets old after a while

You really should think about letting players select moving with arrows or a qwerty/azerty switch. I also found the music irritating after a while but the rest of the game was decent.

Eh was alright i guess...
game was way to short and was boring as shit for the most part; enemies are too weak and there's no real diversity its either a blue lady bug thing or a scorpion or a bee.
Im also assuming we are supposed to be able to find 3 more "heart" pieces? however none of them are on the main track and you kind of dont need them.

Also in the castle if you've got the shotgun it shakes the screen a bit and a green border appears for a bit (dunno if anyone else is getting this), guess that can also be a positive as it makes it feel more like the old snes games.

There are some good parts to this game i guess such as the terrain and there seems to be no major bugs in the game.

Next time maybe put a few mini bosses in and remove the checkpoint heal.
