This is my first flash game I've ever made. I'm not done with it, but I think I've gotten far enough so I can get some good constructive criticism.


what tutorial did you learn this from? I want to learn how too do interactions and collect items

what puri1 said, I like the style and attitude of the game but you need to tech up and learn the ropes and what have you, you should continue to make games

Originality: 2/5
Not really your fault, but regular WASD platformers, even ball based ones, have been done before.

Appearance: 3.5/5
Looks pretty good, albeit simple. My favorite effects are small ones, the door-opening animation after pressing the first switch and the laser animations in "rockclimber". Play it again to see what I mean. It's those kind of small touches which help this stand out. Obstacle designs are simple but for this game it works.

Gameplay: 2/5 or 3.5/5
Hmm, what can I say. I have no clue whether the so called "NoClip" is a bug intentionally left into the game after realizing it occurs and adjusting levels to make up for it, or whether it was planned from the get-go. It seems like it was planned, in which case you get a 3.5/5 for a novel way of "warping" up through floors and occasionally down through them. Other than that the controls are all right. Just make sure you define your boundaries of the floor better, since I would often fall off when my ball was clearly on a ledge.

Music: n/a
Actually not bad. Just add an in-game mute button and maybe volume adjustment. It sounds fine for now, though I won't score since you say you're going to change it anyway.

Overall (and final comments): 3.5/5
I liked the effort, though as you say it's definitely in its construction phase. One thing I would suggest is to make NoClip more fluid and integrate it into game play in a puzzle solving manner rather than NoClipping just to grab some extra "green things". Also, I suggest giving the option to NoClip through the floor at will (maybe only certain floors), since this may add a new layer to the game's difficulty. This will require some level redesign. Playtest it thoroughly yourself, since there were several green things which were simply unobtainable. Remember, your usage of NoClip may be the "hook" this game needs, so focus on that if you plan to keep it in the game. Nice first effort, I look forward to seeing it get better.

Full of glitches. Boring scene. On of those 'gold things' was impossible to reach. It's just not good. Spend time on everything.
