I made this game for Ludum Dare 23 competition in under 48 hours. The theme for the games was "Tiny World".

Here is the game's Ludum Dare page, remove the spaces in the link so it will work:

Tiny Island Adventure tells us a story about young, girl mechanic Lydia, who once build her house on a floating island, but for her misfortune, it one night suddenly flew to the sky with her and her house on it!

Ever since she has been stuck high in the sky.. until one day another floating island appears next to hers. Lydia decides to explore the new island, in hopes that she could figure how to escape from the tiny floating islands.

Has the potential to be a bigger and amazing game if not series. Add in some upgrades etc. But for just 48 hours...WOW

I'm working on a sequel, you can take a look at improved graphical style and Lydia's new tools here:

that was a little one,in fact,i beat the whole game

Altogether, this was a fun game. The visuals were impressive and the aesthetic fit the game well. The story, however brief, was cute and fun. My only complaint is that the controls are really floaty and slippery. Every surface seems like it has an oil slick on it. The jump arcs feel strange too.

Otherwise, this is a solid game that is an impressive product to be completed in 48 hours.

awesome game, especially for 48 hours, May I ask how you made the sprites and coded everything in such a short amount of time?

I do think it could have been a bit more difficult, but given the allotted time it was great.

Very good for a game made in 48 hours, I'm very impressed.

However, there were a few issues with your designing.
First of all, slippery surfaces were somewhat inappropriate in this tiny world and gave more an impression of lack of control than difficulty
Second, obstacle spawning in threadable areas. I'm refering specifically to the barrel that could appear on the space occupied by the character. It just makes big no-go zones as you can't predict the barrel spawn on short notice.
Last, Z as the jump key. This is completely personal.

Overall, very well done.
