Ok, so it seems that my last review was removed, too short I guess.
Graphics is simply too simple, plain non animated characters. No story, no background. Sounds, well need work. Handling also needs some work.
This game is bad. Not as a IMHO, but it does reflect on the score that this game has gained. I voted zero, as I do again. Not because I'm a mean old fart that like's to bash on bad games, but because I don't think that you respect your audience enough when you present something like this.
Let me now soften a bit towards the end, and drift a bit out of topic.
Yes your game is a start, I once had one too, it's still locked in a brown box somewhere, lost in time. I know that everyone has their first time and I have also few games that are still on drawing board, and there they will stay as long as I see that they have a change to gain at least two thirds of the gauge.
And sorry for that first comment, it was way too short. Now my posting is longer than your own comments about your game and your instructions to players, to all those that you wanted to reach and to give them a warm and fuzzy feeling while they play and enjoy your creation, right?
What dosen't break you makes you stronger, you do want to be strong, right?
You had a go. Try to learn from it. I don't mind where you write your controls, even in Author comments is good enough. Hope you do better.
A horrible use with TGF2
I am sorry, but this gives a bad name to The Games Factory 2. It's not even a game and barely a demo. The controls work, sure, but the enemies move too fast, there's no instructions on how to play or what you are doing, and it's literally broken with no respawn. This is what one would consider learning the basics of controls without checking to see how to work commands. Not a game at all.
not awfully fun, but you have to start some to get anywhere. while I was playing, I think I found a small bug, I was on the bottom of the stage just shooting at anything that came by (as far I can tell that doesn't actually do anything) when I got hit by one of the objects, and... nothing, it didn't send me to the defeat screen it just sat there. Anyway not sure if you want to fix that, I just thought I'd let you know. This game seems like the type of project where you try a lot and learn a lot, so keep up the good work ;)
