RAPTUS is an experimental INTERACTIVE FICTION that explores the concepts of Love and Death. What are you going to do with your own Guiltiness?
Can a single mistake destroy everything that you have?
How far would you go, to make up for your sins?
Love is a one-way street. Just like Death.

Mouse to bend character will.
Arrows to make him decide.
The illusion of free will.

Thats just random but still its a good game, just a bad story, i didn't understand it at all!

Fabulous. Loved every second of it. Especially the music. Speaking of music. What was the song in the beginning, or did you create it your self?

***************************SPOILERS READ AT YOUR OWN CAUTION******************************

It's okay, but the main character is totally unrelatable. If you want to make a story where the player connects with a main character who has made mistakes, you still want him to be somewhat appealing to the player. This character just seems like a total sleaze and slimebag with no redeeming qualities. I felt zero sympathy for him and his disillusions of love. Maybe this is what you wanted me to feel, that's fine, but it lacked a emotional bond that better art games have, in my opinion.

A game with a somewhat similar idea, Silent Hill 2 first has the player emotional bond with James before destroying the player's notion of James as a totally moral person. Now story-based flash games obviously aren't usually going to be eight hours long, but this game was so short that I ended up feeling like there were important ideas missing in the story, ideas that needed more time to be developed.

I have harped long enough on the negatives, the positives include the art itself which helps to create a depressed and out-of-time feel to the game. The music likewise aids in this goal and offers a bleak and dark tone to the game. Additionally, the writing was solid and unnerving. It certainly got beneath my skin.

Overall, it's a solid attempt, but it needs some polish, both to the story and to the player's interactions in the story. This game is essentially one decision away from being a movie, which makes it seem inferior to the 'Choose your own adventure' or 'point 'n' click' genre of games. A scripted story is fine, but when all your game is is a scripted story, it just kinda falls a bit flat as a game. I would recommend 'Thousand Dollar Soul' as a better 'story game' that discusses twisted love. Still, a solid 3/5. I may criticize it, but I'm not here to zero bomb it.
