Based on the new film about hockey enforcers entitled "GOON", this is a game where we blend the fight sequences from Blades of Steel with the brutality of Mortal Kombat. In GOON: The Game, you take on the role of Doug Glatt, a hockey enforcer who will fight for his team to the death... literally! Learn all of Doug's special attacks to defeat all who stand in your path, and then finish them off with a GOONALITY!

Arrow Keys = Move

A = Power Punch
S = Power Kick
Z = Quick Punch
X = Quick Kick
Backwards = Block

P = Look Up Special Attack Moves / Pause Game
S+X = Perform a GOONALITY! (when opponent is near death)
O = Options Menu (must be accessed from main menu)

Now hit the ice and fight for your team, Doug!

Mockery responds:

Thanks! And there actually is a vs 2P mode on the main menu along with other options. Just click the little hockey puck between the "GOON" text and you'll be taken straight to the options screen. Hope this helps!

Its called a Fatality not a Goonality. And i Agree with the one Directly below this. Its not bad it just needs some stuff tampered with and all to make it a great game.

I thought it was pretty good.

The people leaving bad reviews probably never played Street Fighter...

Though I wish there were more special moves, throws...

...and taunts... the oh so great useless taunts.

Great art as usual, pox.

You know, as movie tie-ins go, this one actually is kind of fun. However, having not seen the movie yet, I will worry about writing its issues as if it were a standalone game.

First, the difficulty. It's too uneven - if you're trying at all, you're likely to get past both Norris and Hunter without incident, but Rhea is a huge step up and will take multiple tries.

Second, and I'm guessing this is due to its status as a movie tie-in, the "Goonalities" (read: Fatalities) seem kind of underwhelming. The ones done by and against Rhea are the only worthy ones, in my opinion.

That being said, this game is actually fairly playable and solid as a game. The graphics and sounds are done well. What I would have liked to see is an unlockable mode where you can play as the other three characters, truthfully.

Since I don't have anything else to say, here's a tip for fighting Rhea since I know others will be reading: Your charge-up moves (the shoulder dash AND the flash kick) can out-prioritize his Bicycle Kick, but only if you're reacting. Generally speaking, the first to act is at a disadvantage here.
