James and Maria from Silent Hill 2 solve the mystery as to why every lock in Silent Hill is Broken.

This is my first large scale flash animation. Over 15 megabytes. Took forever to figure out how to upload it too because I'm very new to newgrounds. I mostly used classic tween on the body parts with a little bit of frame-by-frame. I did all of the voice acting myself (Including Maria.....) I also tried to be a little innovative and used moving background animations from google sketchup. I'd love to see everyones critiques.

Edit* I guess the music isn't good. I'm sorry about that. I thought I did a good job balancing out the music volume to the voices. The song is "The Reverse Will" from the Silent Hill 2 OST. Listening to this song gave the the idea for the cartoon.

All the monsters do kinda look like vaginas. Great video xD

Cyprin responds:

Thanks! Yeah it's actually a legit fact. They're supposed to resemble vaginas somehow because of James's sexual confusion or some shit. Thanks for noticing!!

A lot of great potential man but it did seem to be lacking a bit. I didn't care for the art style as it struck me as trying to be more 'real' than your current skill, sometimes it's best to work with what you have and be more artistic with the characters than trying to be 'photo realistic.' The transitions were good and artistic but a bit too long as some points. The music wasn't great but was way too loud and personally I don't think it fit with a comedy/parody feel.

But it's a great building block as you showed great potential and creativity! Keep at it!

After reading your description and then watching the video... I must say, it was some really good animations... the music was a bit annoying though, mostly because it was loud.
I'll look forward to your animations ;)

Movie idea was okay, delivery was rocky.

The main things I don't like about the movie, for one, how the music really, and I mean really, overpowered the voices. I found myself kind of straining a little to hear what they say. Another thing, the human anatomy of the characters, although I know that itself can be hard to animate.

Surprisingly, to me, there were a lot of things I liked more about the movie. Even though the music overpowered the voices, I thought the voice acting was good in some parts. Although I can't say the comedy made me laugh, more like smile and chuckle on the inside. Which is hard enough for some comedies. Although it seemed a little long during the transitions, I thought the idea was well timed, and 4 minutes of my life weren't wasted.

Again, I liked the idea, but the characters need more work on detail, the animation is okay, just needs a bit more time put into making it seem more 'real' I guess, and you need a better music choice, or to at least tone it down a bit. Keep up the voice acting and write down more ideas.
