About a year ago a friend and I began to work on the pilot episode of a series about a fox and a barn owl, fighting for balance in a world where humans are long gone. Inexperienced as we were, we went for a project in which I would do art, frame by frame animations, script and storyboard, and where she would work on sound effects and soundtrack. Time ended up being against us with school and all, and I ended up having to compromise with the soundtracks and finding sound effects myself. I am however grateful for not having to carry this project all the way alone, because without the motivation from the people around me, I, a 15 (now 16) year old girl, would never have been able to work for a whole year on the same project.
A great thanks goes out to the talented voice actors who assisted me with this project, as well as the 48 people who auditioned. I am sorry to have made everyone wait for so long.

Anyways, I hope you'll be able to enjoy these 6 minutes of pilot, even with all the faults it may have. It may not seem like much to the trained eye, but I broke down a lot of barriers working on this.

Sorry for the large filesize. You can also watch the flash here: watch?v=M-vKDBXRDBU (without spacing)

Am I the only one whose browser nearly crashed while watching this? It was practically unwatchable. The animation kept freezing up.

I enjoyed it, though I think that some of the voice work could be a little better, like the part with the white wolf. Otherwise its' a great start to a hopefully continuing series :)

First of all the story is simple but yet great at the same time just make sure to keep the story intact and try to improve more and more on the actual writing as animations like this are heavily depending on the writing and not the animation itself.

The voices are great and definitely suit the role they have been put in but some could use some work on the "acting" part of the voice to which I am talking about the fox and the owl where I have noticed some pauses between each sentence.

Animation is good but can always be improved to ensure your delivering the right atmosphere and overall body language/interaction between characters and the environment since these are important factors too.

Not much to say about the music since it suits your story very well but some of the sound effects could use some work (the howling at the beginning for example felt weak when it should of been a strong feeling of terror).

Overall its a great piece of work you have here and if its any advice I can give you is improve on everything here, rewatch what you have made here and strive for better results so you can improve not only as an animator but as a story teller as well.

Great animation, great story, 9/10. The only issue i had was the voice acting, the dull backround music, and that is just about it~! Keep up the amazing work!

I like the creative part of the work ; it's like drawings of a tale taking life.
Good job ! Can't wait to see what'll happen next.
I encourage you to continue in that way (just one observation : the image seemed pixelated, maybe it'll be even better without that effect)
