Have fun with Snow Tale, a jump'n'run platform game from Neutronized. Snow Tale can be considered a mix between Super Mario and Liquid Kids. Hope you like it! :)

Update: Thanks for the front page!!

Fun game, but has its faults.

Namely, jumping. I can't count how many times I've died or annoyed by how when you jump the game ignores any changes in velocity. I've sat right next to a platform jumping straight up trying to move a bit to the right. I've overshot into some spikes and the bottomless pits. I like the game, I think its clever, but I've gotten so used to being able to control the character in the air that it's kind of become expected. Heck, some games actually make it required to do so.

Mediocre Platformer with broken controls

My biggest complaint is how controls aren't very fluid. As this is a platform game there shouldn't be moments when moving right, jump and then just go straight up in the air.

While SMB may not be physically accurate, at least you had control over Mario while he was in the air.

Double jumping, while it's a nice touch, seems flaky at times. Either the second jump goes too far or not far enough.

Maybe I missed it, but I didn't take note of any actual story. Kind of ironic for a game called Snow Tale. As far as I know, you play as the local asshole who goes around throwing snowballs at people, kicking them while they're down and stealing their icy treats.

As such, I've snowballed you and stolen 4 stars worth of icy treats.

Redeeming factors:

Aesthetically pleasing
Levels feel thought out
Smooth animations
Interesting gameplay dynamic with freezing enemies
The various skills add some complexity (dash, ground pound, double jump)
Catchy music

Its fine. Its a good game, good graphics, but it hasnt something new. It remembers Mario a lot. Keep making great games, but next time, try to make something different.

goo but...

Its good but honestly the sidescroller style of game that imitates aspects of mario games is really overdone.

would of been nice if it maybe had some RPG elements and collectible items to unlock abilities and possible secret levels.
