Author Comments

"The owl men are here, and they're so very hungry."

Gary Mason, former head of security, Outpost:Haven.

A distress call wakes you and your crew mate from C-Sleep. A suspected rad leak at the nearby Outpost space station needs investigating. Don't worry, it should just be a quick jump in, jump out job...

Enjoy.

< Edit - Just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone whose taken the time to play, vote and review the game. We may not have replied to all the comments but we have read them all, even the mental ones. Cheers - Squize >

- Turrets accuracy fixed.
- Console intro can be skipped by clicking.
- Level 3 tweaked so its less likely to break ( Yet again )
- Shout out to the NG boys who helped with bugs in the credits.
- Various tweaks and fixes.

V1.3
- Challenges should be less buggy.
- Reduced the chance of being stuck in a spawn hole.
- Invisible objects fixed.
- I'm sure someone said faster running would be nice ? Done.

V1.4
- A bit of retconning ready for Outpost 2, plus a little teaser.

Just a note on the quality settings, its already running in low quality, hence the lack of in-game option for it.

Reviews

So original, what a rip off, like alien swarm...

Ha, kidding, quite an amazing game here, I ran into a strange bug when I was moving but he was acting like he was walking into something, it was around level 4 I believe when this happened, but it didn't stop me from getting to the next level. Level 3 was the best one in my opinion, I was actually scare to go running into any place and sat back waiting to see what the radar had to tell me first. I was wondering what was going to happen to Jameson until you decided to put it in at the end as a sequel. The only complaint I have is that... I guess I have no other complaints.

Squize responds:

The original plan was to have Jameson meet you on the last level, but I just ran out of time to code the AI for him. It would be cool I think to have Lee re-appear in a more active role in the sequel.

Thanks for the review mate, and yeah level 3 is my favourite too :)

Good game.

This game is so awesome! The weapons kinda pricey but, even though i have not bought one i guess it can be worth it. I see you use some sounds from half-life.

Goooood

Really great game, i just found a bug and it happened 2 time, if you hit space 2 soon after you hit exit from the store the game just freeze. it happened to me in the third and the last world ... Besides that the game is just great, good work.

A high quality game

where do i start?
-SFXs 10/10
-gun models 10/10
-bullet impact 10/10 on objects 9/10 on aliens
-creepyness 20/20
-story 9/10
Bonus
+2 for fun
OVERALL 72/72?....thats an odd overall, lets just say 10/10

great game, very detailed and lots of fun!

the graphics are awesome, the sound effects, music and atmosphere do a great job and I really enjoy making my way though the levels. I do have a few minor complaints: please make a way to earn more lives (if its there, my mistake), I dont understand how to upgrade guns and I wish I could run faster. I feel like if I have to reload I am screwed. I wish I could run away and have half a chance at surviving. Other than that, its amazing, I am playing a lot! -CageTheOlyphant

Squize responds:

Cheers mate.

There isn't a way to earn more lives, but after every level it resets to 3 again, which should help. Guns are upgraded via attachments bought via the consoles ( Max 2 attachments per weapon ).
With reloading, if you can collect an ammo pack and that will give you instant reload, or swap weapon.

Thanks again for the youTube love mate :)
