After mass conflict, our only option was to colonise underground. 174 years later...one man ventures into the depth of his world to uncover a dark, dream-like area known as the Dark Zone.
Hey everyone!
I'm back with a weird and wonderful animation for you all. Like my last one, this was a school project. The idea was to express our dreams in an animation. My props weren't that great but I had a go at green screen for the first time.
This was a school project I did a few months back that is meant to be based on dreams. This animation is meant to capture 60% of my dreams I have had in the past and put it into a constructed fiction. Even though my set was a matter of black/green cardboard and a load of cellotape, I ran the animation at 20fps and explained the production well during the presentation. I got an A*! :3
After submitting it on YouTube back in March, I finally compressed this video in order to play on Newgrounds without loosing tonnes of the quality.
(Srsly NG, up the limit for experienced users to 20mb)
If you don't like watching this on Newgrounds, Here is a link to the YouTube video with 10x better quality: http://www.youtube.com/wa tch?v=jbkJTlSuVs0 (Remove Spaces)
This is probably my last stop-motion animation I'll ever do unless I get the time, proper equipment and enthusiasm to do another one.
The programmes I used were:
iStopmotion
iMovie
Windows Live Moviemaker
Flash Video Encoder
Flash CS4
The music I used was:
Boards of Canada - Farewell Fire
Boards of Canada - Slow This Bird Down
Boards of Canada - Dayvan Cowboy
I hope you enjoy this animation! :)

10 for Boards! 10 for Boards! 10 for Boards! 10 for Boards!
Yeah Man! :D
This is amazing!
The only problem was the audio in some parts it was very low, however the rest of the movie was perfect. To favorites!!
well the compression is a like 240p standard due to NG's restrictions. if you check out the youtube link, everything will be more clearer. and yes I have a very limited sound board and iMovie is very irritating to use at times. I had to rush some of the audio levels.
Thanks for the 10 and feedback man! :)
