Our newest game is called Rogue Legacy, a procedurally-generated Castlevania with an in-depth heritage system. super proud of it, but right now we need your help to get it on Steam.

Your galaxy has been invaded by melodic celestial bodies, and you've been tasked to save it. Bullet Audyssey is a rhythm-based shoot 'em up where you must "Survive the Beat." Absorb enemy bullets and fire it back at them, slow down time, upgrade your ship and level up.

We wanted to try something new using music as a template for the game mechanics. Many thanks to the incredible musicians on NG, where we got more than 85% of our music.

We hope you guys enjoy it!

Quick Controls Explanation:
- WASD, arrow keys, or numpad to move.
- Z, comma (for WASD) or SPACEBAR to shoot.
- X, period (for WASD) or SHIFT to slow time down.

I loved this game and some of the music were really amazing.

Easy game

Loved it. One of my favorites on Newgrounds. Please make more! Really well done. I was pissed at the end that I didn't reach max level before beating the game. I grinded out one level to 19, and saw that I would need 1-6 more (or who knows how much), and I was like, fuck that, cuz it would take another 20-30 runs on Corvus 18. Is there a better place to get XP? I get ~4k every minute from that one. Also, what is the 2nd secret medal?

If it's laggy for you, your comp sucks.

What an excellent game

The best bullet-hell game I have ever played, surpasses Bullet Heaven even. The upgrade mechanics are very well thought-out, the fact that you can go back and beat previous levels with a better performance to help you with your current levels makes the game have replay value without taking away any fun and without adding much frustration (since you usually are way more powerful than before). The sticky keys being fixed is also great.

My only qualms:
1- Final boss is lame/too easy.
2- Balancing/difficulty classification for bosses is quite off in some cases. For instance, I found Taurus 17's "Harder" (4 1/2 stars) to be boringly easy; I did him the first time without losing any life. It is much easier even than Auriga 9's "Chase-o-tron" (2 1/2 stars)!!!, while the Serpens 15's "Clockwork" (4 stars) is definitely in the top 3 hardest. Perhaps I excel in dodging slow-moving straight-trajectory projectiles much more than aimed ones, but I would imagine so does anyone else.
3- The game too short!
4- While the game isn't "easy" per-se, overall it is not as hard as I expected it to be.
5- Always shooting straight is a bit boring; being able to shoot sideways or diagonally would make battles like Clockwork much more interesting.
6- Too few songs and they all sound somewhat alike (same electronic feel).

Wow... Just... Wow!

At first, I hadn't noticed the tutorial (how dumb of me, though I think it was blocked by an ad), and went right ahead. Then I came across this thing shooting red orbs at me. I noticed the controls, and right away tried to shoot at it. Funny though, I had ran out of energy, and I was stunned when I was there for a whole 2 minutes trying to figure out what I did wrong. Then I started listening to the music, and later I thought 'Wait a second! That flashing aura around my ship appears to be turning the orbs red!' Then I also realized my energy started filling back up, and that is how I started off. Not too bad, eh?

PS2: I know this may take some work, but I found a really great song, and maybe you could add a level? Thanx :D!
