11/8/11 Still working on the medals guys, hang in there. Also tried some more optimizing to fix the slippery/sticky controls issue some of you have. (also, if you have a FB tab up, try closing that)

**CONTROLS** LEFT/RIGHT walk left/right UP = Jump DOWN = Raise shield (while standing)/Use Weapon(later in game,while standing)

Oyeatia, creator and god of man surrenders his deity, descending to the green earth in search of a lost love. Gyossait sleeps in the warm black heart of the dying planet, her dreams seep into the weakening minds of man. The end begins.

Update History:

11/5/11 Patched vanishing keys, walking off map, alternative ending, Medals implemented but pending.

Atmospheric, but needs some work.

As has been said, the atmosphere definitely makes the game. It is what kept me playing because -let's face it- the gameplay is more frustrating than anything. The controls are sloppy, the enemies are rather frustrating and the saves are few and far between.

Some of this may be intentional, but I doubt the controls were made to be this bothersome, and they almost make the game not worth playing.

Great game marred by a few crucial flaws.

I would have to agree with everyone else ecstatic about this game's atmosphere. You've really made something unique and haunting. The story and characters are completely new and a breath of fresh air. The subtle sound effects and aural music, along with the graphics, really allows the player to be enveloped in something new and foreign.

There are a few things that need to be worked on. The game mechanics/controls are a bit clumsy, to the point that I learned that you can only jump three heights, depending on how long the up arrow key is held.

One crucial thing I would change is the saving scheme. Yes, some of the save points are spaced out, but this is what makes a game challenging and more realistic. The problem though is that there isn't a permanent save; the game must be played in one marathon run.

While I normally do not have a problem with this, after I reached the part where I ascended and faced the giant red-haired being, I got stuck inside one of the platforms, where I could neither move nor get killed. I was stuck, and forced to "F5" to start all the way at the beginning of the game. I had lost, essentially, 30-minutes of game time and was unable to continue at no fault of my own, which is incredibly frustrating.

I think, that Amon26's debut is definitely worth exploring, if you have the time and open-mind to appreciate his work. If you are looking for a quick fix, look elsewhere: this game requires mental penetration and time to do it.

pretty good

controls are very sluggish and the sound effects are very repetative, especially given the repetitive 'die solve die solve' style this game promotes. the art style is quite interesting though. this is certainly not a game for everybody.

That was completely bizarre. I dont have any idea what is going on in the story, but I love it. It's so rare to see games that are atmospheric like this, though I found myself a little distracted from it by the slightly clunky movement/jumping.

All in all a strange but interesting game with a sexy end boss.
